Hi-5 ABA welcomes new franchisee Dr. Keith Belton, BCBA-D, from Victorville, California. When Keith wasn’t operating his restaurant franchise, he helped children in the neighboring school system work through behavioral struggles. For years he worked during the day and went to school at night until he earned his BCBA and, ultimately, a doctorate. Now, he owns a Hi-5 ABA franchise working full-time at something he loves to do.
Keith was born in England and moved every couple of years due to his father’s military service, allowing him to travel around the world. When he turned eighteen, he followed in his dad’s footsteps, enlisting in the Air Force. He met his future wife, Patricia, in boot camp and they fell in love while subsequently stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. And, as they say, “the rest is history.” They have since been married for over 35 years, have two grown boys, and one granddaughter.
After completing four years of military service, his family settled in Victorville, California. Keith held various roles in the school systems. When he wasn’t working, he was earning progressively higher degrees as he wanted to understand how to help children overcome their behavioral struggles. He received a Master’s in Special Education from Azusa Pacific University and his Doctorate in Psychology from Alliant International University. earning his degrees, he decided to help mentor others with similar passions by acting as an adjunct professor for the University of La Verne’s School of Education.
All along, he has had an entrepreneurial longing that led him to purchase a local restaurant franchise. He owned it for several years, mentoring his workers and serving the community as a business owner. He found owning a profitable business satisfying, but he wanted to combine his two passions: entrepreneurship and behavior interventions. That was when he came across Hi-5 ABA.
With a Hi-5 ABA franchise, Dr. Keith Belton is now proud to be building his in-home ABA practice to provide quality and personalized services to children and families around Victorville.
